Day 1: September 21, 2018

Xichang - Lugu Lake Daluoshui Village, 260 kilometers about 6.5 hours by car. We booked a lakeside viewing room, and we could see Lugu Lake from the balcony of the room, which was pleasing to the eye. The proprietress of the homestay is half a Wuhan native, her husband teaches at a university in Wuhan, and she opens an inn here, and the back door of the inn is a garden, and there is a path that can go directly to the lake.
Sichuan's highway construction in recent years is indeed very powerful, I can't imagine how difficult it was to not have so many highways or highways before, no wonder the ancients said: Shu Road is difficult, It's hard to go to the sky. We walked down from the highway above, walking on the mountain through the clouds and fog.
The Wedding Bridge is located on the east side of Lugu Lake, spanning the sea of grass with drifting reeds, and is a well-known landscape around Lugu Lake. The Mosuo people here pursue the marriage custom of "men do not marry, women do not marry", and when they get married, men will pass through the marriage bridge to the woman's home, so this bridge is also called "Magpie Bridge".
Thewedding bridge is about 300 meters long, flanked by large reeds growing in the grassy seawater, walking on the bridge, the eyes are full of turquoise fresh scenery. Because the marriage bridge is related to the love of the Mosuo people, it is also regarded as a bridge of love by many couples, and couples and tourists will walk on it hand in hand to feel the ancient romance of the Mosuo people.
Daluoshui Village, also known as Daluoshui, is located on the Lijiang side of Lugu Lake and is a village that was developed very early around Lugu Lake. The facilities here are complete, there are many hotels and shops, the transportation to various attractions on the lakeside is also relatively convenient, and there is a strong Mosuo style in the village, which is the accommodation place for many tourists to Lugu Lake.
Lugu Lake feels quiet and calm, which is very suitable for a few days, and it is good to be alone in a daze and chat with three or five friends.

Lugu Lake - Shuanglang, 390 kilometers about 6 hours by car.
Shuanglang Town is located on the northeast bank of Erhai Lake, northeast of Dali City, close to the rippling Erhai Lake, and can overlook the nineteen peaks of Cangshan, integrating the essence of Cang'er scenery in one place. On a sunny day, the sun shines through the clouds and refracts on the lake, accompanied by the continuous Cangshan Mountains as the background, which is the shot that photographers want to capture the most. When we went, the weather was not very strong, the dark clouds were overwhelming, the sun appeared and disappeared, although we did not encounter the most beautiful scenery, but we also saw another side of Erhai Lake.
Watching the news on TV said that Erhai Lake has been very polluted in recent years, and after several years of treatment, it is better now, but the overall environmental planning does need to be strengthened, and the garbage piles in some places by the lake are piled up, and the sewage from homestays and restaurants is directly discharged into the lake.

Dali Shuanglang - Lijiang Shuhe Ancient Town, 200 kilometers about 2.5 hours by car.
Shuhe Ancient Town is located in the northwest of Lijiang Ancient City and was an important post station on the ancient tea horse road. The ancient town is surrounded by mountains and rivers, and the structural layout is similar to that of Dayan Ancient City, with scattered houses, gurgling water between lanes, and a beautiful environment. What is rare is that due to the late development of tourism, Shuhe Ancient Town is much quieter and more simple than Dayan Ancient Town. So, I chose to live here. Shuhe Ancient Town - Shangri-La City, 180 kilometers about 3.5 hours by car, visit the Tiger Leaping Gorge Scenic Area on the way, and then visit the ancient city of Dukezong in Diqing (Shangri-La City).
Tiger Leaping Gorge (Lijiang Section) is famous for its depth and danger, with upper, middle and lower sections, and the Tiger Leaping Gorge in Yulong County, Lijiang belongs to the upper tiger jump. Because the canyon is narrow, the water flow difference is very large. Watching the river crashing into the Tiger Leaping Stone in the middle of the river here is very spectacular, and you can enter the beautiful Shangri-La from here.

Shangri-La City - Shangri-La Town, 310 kilometers about 7 hours by car. Today I encountered the first emergency of this trip, originally according to the navigation to take the national highway 214 and 215 to Shangri-La Town, in the morning to open the navigation road because of the collapse and closed can not go, how long it will be repaired and opened is still unknown, we can't wait, we can only see if there are other roads to reach, the AutoNavi map shows that there is another 217 provincial highway to reach, it takes about 13 hours, and then look at the Baidu map, the original 214, 215 national highway shows that it can be passed (the facts show that Baidu is really unreliable), Quickly asked the hotel staff and asked them to help inquire about the specific situation, and the reply was that National Highway 214 collapsed and closed the road, while Provincial Highway 217 was quite difficult to walk, and some sections of the road were landslided and repaired. Three of our four cars are cars, and it is definitely not easy to walk this road.
This time is a difficult decision for me, if you don't go, otherwise the room reservation for the rest of the trip will have to be canceled, and it is very difficult to cancel and re-book during the eleventh period; It seems that it is not possible to walk, so many people and so many cars, take the shell crater-like mountain road, and the unknown rockfalls, landslides and even mudslides are also very dangerous, dozens of kilometers of shell crater roads plus dozens of kilometers of gravel roads, can our cars resist, although we are very confident in our more than 20 years of driving experience, but there are also drivers among my companions who have not run long distances, let alone walked such dangerous mountain roads.
After a fierce ideological struggle, I finally decided to take the provincial road, asking the four cars to keep a certain distance, the hand platform to keep unblocked, I drove at the front while observing, and notified the cars behind to stop and wait in time when encountering a situation.
The road at the beginning was still good, and the scenery was beautiful, but to be honest, I had no intention of enjoying the scenery at that time, and although I was not afraid in my heart, I was really nervous.
The good times do not last long, the good road will not come again, and the road to test driving skills and psychological quality has begun, of course, in order not to affect the mood of a dozen other people, everyone is very nervous, On the surface, I am calm and calm, loose on the outside and tight on the inside.
Roads like this are not the worst, some road sections are deeper than this, the car can only drive to a speed of 5-10 kilometers per hour, slowly ride on the higher stones with tires, the chassis of the car often makes the sound of colliding with stones or gravel roads, at this time you can't hurt the car, safety used to be more important than anything else, and some sections of the road landslide, can only be passed by bicycles, the object of the car is a very troublesome thing, fortunately, this road is difficult to walk but there are very few cars, while walking I observe the surroundings, the most important thing to pay attention to is the falling rocks on the mountain, When encountering dangerous road sections, hurry up and pass, you can't stay to prevent accidents, but also pay attention to the road conditions, I drive over the landslide section or where there is water first, and then notify the cars behind me to pass, occasionally a few cars come over, all SUVs or off-road vehicles, see us roll down the window and stretch out our thumb, and shout "Come on, buddy" to us. We took the opportunity to ask them about the driving conditions and approximate driving time ahead, so that we could have a good understanding of what they were doing.
After 13 hours, we finally arrived in Shangri-La Town, arranged accommodation, and hurried to a nearby restaurant to eat and sleep, and there is still a mountain to climb at an altitude of more than 4,000 meters tomorrow.

Shangri-La Town - Daocheng Aden Scenic Area, 76 kilometers about 1.5 hours, set off in the morning to feel the scenic spot, and today I visited the Daocheng Aden Scenic Area all day long, because I was worried that it would be easy to rebel in Aden Village, so I booked to live in Daocheng at night.
Looking at the beautiful scenery of Daocheng Aden, all the fatigue of yesterday's day disappeared.
Daocheng Aden, that is, Aden Nature Reserve, also known as Aden Scenic Area, is located in the southern part of Daocheng County, Ganzi Prefecture, mainly composed of "Xian Nai Ri, Yang Mai Yong, Xia Nuo Dorji" Composed of three sacred mountains and surrounding rivers, lakes and alpine meadows, it is a relatively well-preserved natural ecosystem in China.
Because of its unique landform and pristine natural scenery, some people call it the only remaining pure land on the blue planet.
There are not only magnificent and sacred snow-capped mountains in the scenic area, but also vast meadows, colorful forests and blue and transparent seas, almost all the beauty of the snowy plateau is gathered here, all of which makes people linger. Like the devout Tibetans there, hiking around the mountains is a great way to experience the scenery of Aden. However, due to the high altitude of the Aden Reserve, the whole hike still requires considerable physical strength.
Our group was divided into three groups, a few people walked for a while because of physical strength or high reversal to rest and take pictures at the Luorong Cattle Farm, five people decided to impact the milk sea and the five-color sea, and the rest of me and a few other friends walked slowly, and if we could reach the milk sea and the five-color sea, we could not go up to the sea of milk and turn back, in addition to considering personal physical accidents, the most important thing is time, we must rush to the parking lot of the Aden scenic spot and take an environmental protection bus to the gate of the scenic spot, otherwise we can only camp on the mountain.Another friend and I walked here to see that we didn't have enough time and returned. Friends who visit this scenic spot remember to bring their own lunch and water before departure, we bought self-heating rice for everyone in advance, mineral water and Snickers to bring with them, walking on the plateau is strenuous and requires physical strength, self-driving friends must prepare their favorite food in the car, yesterday at noon we also parked for lunch in a more spacious and safe place on the side of the road.
I didn't have any altitude sickness at a high altitude of more than 4,000, but two emergencies occurred in the second half of today's trip, which caused me to have a serious "high reaction".
One thing is: when we went down the stairs with Sister Zhang, who was traveling with us on the way back, she fell and broke her hand, and her companions who were resting in the parking lot hurriedly sent her to the nearest hospital, but the local medical conditions were limited, and there was no professional orthopedic surgeon in the local hospital near the November holiday. So we decided to let her and her husband buy air tickets and fly back to Wuhan for treatment.
Another thing: a group of us returned to the parking lot in advance to wait, and five people were supposed to return according to the time, and when I contacted them again, I found that there was one less person, and I couldn't contact them until the mobile phone, I was too big at that time. As time went by, as the organizer, I became more and more nervous, everyone brought mobile phones, and there was a signal in normal places here, and when I set off, I asked them to bring a power bank to keep the communication open, so I shouldn't lose contact. If you can't get in touch, you're worried about whether there is an accident, there has already been an accident, but there can be no more accidents. I arranged for her husband to wait at the first meeting point, and safely went to the service desk alone to see if I could broadcast to find someone。。。。。 In the end, she returned to the parking lot safely alone, but more than a dozen of us worried for more than an hour, how could we lose contact??? Sangdui Township is located in the north of Daocheng County, 28 kilometers away from the county seat. Sangdui is a typical Tibetan village with beautiful scenery. The most famous is the dazzling red grass beach, where many people stop just to take pictures of the red and refreshing red grass beach. Jiaju Tibetan Village is located in Danba County, Ganzi Prefecture, about 8 kilometers away from the county seat, and is a Tibetan residential village with Jiarong Tibetan characteristics.
"Jiaju" means a hundred households in Tibetan, and the village is as the name suggests, on the hillside with a relative height difference of nearly a kilometer, Tibetan-style buildings are scattered among the green trees, dotted with smoke and clusters of peach blossoms, which looks quiet and chic. The village generally has one floor for each household, and the village building sits north and faces south, all of which are wood and stone structures. The wooden frame and eaves are red, and the walls are painted white or the primary color is mixed with white. Every year on the eve of the Spring Festival, the masters will carefully paint the walls of the village building according to traditional customs and use the local "white mud" as the main raw material, so that the entire Tibetan village is dressed in white costumes.
Visiting the Tibetan village, the panoramic view from the hillside opposite the village is very spectacular. After walking into the Tibetan village, you can only see scattered Tibetan-style buildings. Most of the buildings are 3 or 4 stories of buildings, and the bottom floor is a captive livestock, and there are pot village rooms, living rooms, scripture halls and family watchtowers, etc., and some buildings also have balconies. The white walls are painted with the sun, moon, stars, and religious motifs, which is beautiful and spectacular.

There are no restaurants in the Tibetan village, if you don't live here, it's best to bring your own food or go back to Danba County to eat.

Jiaju Tibetan Village - Kangding, 160 kilometers about 4 hours by car, plan to visit the two scenic spots of Paoma Mountain and Mugecuo after going to Kangding, and stay in Kangding at night.
Last night, heavy snow suddenly fell in Kangding Zheduo Mountain, thousands of self-driving vehicles were trapped in Zheduo Mountain, in order to alleviate traffic restrictions on some road sections, Kangding direction can only go out and not enter, so as not to avoid greater congestion.If the detour is not easy to walk and takes longer, this will lead to us not being able to go to Xindu Bridge to see the beautiful autumn scenery, and we will not be able to cross the mountains to experience the exciting winding mountain road (we are already preparing to enter Tibet next year, and this regret can be made up). This is not the key, we booked a room for two days at the Kangding Kavala Hotel, which cannot be canceled, and the room fee is more than 8,200! ! At the intersection in the direction of Kangding, I got out of the car and communicated with the police, and at the beginning the police resolutely did not let go, when we parked the car on the side of the road, I saw that occasionally a few cars were still released, I went over to communicate with the police again, and opened the China-TravelNote APP to let them see the information I had booked, telling them that the hotel could not be canceled, we lost too much, after my poor soft grinding and hard bubbles, the police finally agreed to let our four cars enter the direction of Kangding, and then we were stuck in traffic all the way, stop-and-go, thousands of cars had to come out of the direction of Kangding, The heavy snow blocked them in Kangding, and we couldn't get in if they didn't come out, but no matter what, the hope of entering Kangding was still there, and we could get to the hotel anyway, and we finally arrived at the hotel at seven o'clock in the evening.

Kangding County - Hailuogou, 75 kilometers about 1.5 hours by car, continue to live in Kangding at night.

Hailuogou is located in the southeast of Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, and there are two main purposes to visit Hailuogou: to soak in hot springs and see glaciers.The hot springs are mainly concentrated in Camp No. 2, where there are many pools of different sizes and shapes, built on top of each other, layered on top of each other. If you want to see the glacier, you should go to Camp 3, which is in the embrace of primeval forests and snow-capped mountains, and is a good place to watch Rizhao Golden Mountain.
Hailuogou Red Stone Beach is located in the estuary area of Yajiageng in Hailuogou Scenic Area, Sichuan Province. It is known as the "Red Rock Park of the World". Hailuogou red stone is not only mysterious, but also a unique wonder in the world.
Due to the unique geographical and climatic reasons such as the unique humid and moist climate of Hailuogou and mineral elements such as manganese, which provides sufficient nutrients for the orange algae, the stones here are covered with red matter. This substance is a microorganism that reproduces in the unique ecological environment of the mountains, forming a peculiar landscape. According to research by the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the red substance on the stone, an aerial filamentous green algae --- Jolly orange algae, is bright blood red because the cells are rich in astaxanthin.
