30 p.m. on May 19, 2021, take bus No. 3 to the Leshan Giant Buddha Museum, which is actually the Leshan Museum, in addition to the content of the Leshan Giant Buddha, it also includes the historical introduction and cultural relics of Leshan.

Leshan Giant Buddha Museum is located at the entrance of the Leshan Giant Buddha Scenic Area, designed by South China University of Technology, with the humanistic and natural connotation of the Leshan Giant Buddha, according to the mountain restoration concept of "born in the mountain, growing in the mountain" and the cliff tomb elements with Leshan characteristics. Completed in December 2006, the museum covers an area of about 18,500 square meters and a total building area of 6,578 square meters; The usable area is about 4,000 square meters (including the atrium of the museum and the public area of the exhibition); It is designed with exhibition halls, academic lecture halls, tourist rest services, office areas, cultural relics warehouses and other functional areas. The museum currently has nearly 10,000 cultural relics in its collection, including 1,303 precious cultural relics (sets).

In 2012, the management committee invested nearly 10 million yuan to select nearly 200 national precious cultural relics from the cultural relics in the collection, and carried out the first phase of the exhibition project of the Leshan Giant Buddha Museum, which was divided into two halls: "Ceramic Stone Carving Art Museum" and "Calligraphy and Painting Art Museum". It interprets the profound history and culture of Leshan from the perspective of art and history, and was officially opened to the public during the Spring Festival in 2013, with an endless stream of tourists and a strong response, and it was a complete success. In 2015, in order to promote the culture of the Giant Buddha and commemorate the 20th anniversary of the successful "application" of the Leshan Giant Buddha, the management committee invested another 7 million yuan to set up the exhibition project of the Leshan Giant Buddha Exhibition Hall.

The display of the Leshan Giant Buddha Museum is divided into two parts: the cultural relics exhibition and the Hanya Tomb site exhibition area (modern and ancient), that is, one area and three halls. The first area is the Hanya Tomb Ruins Exhibition Area, and the third hall is the Leshan Giant Buddha Exhibition Hall, the Ceramic Stone Carving Art Museum and the Calligraphy and Painting Art Museum.

The "Leshan Giant Buddha Exhibition Hall" shows the historical background and construction process of the Leshan Giant Buddha excavation from four units: prosperous Buddha, timelessness, inheritance and promotion, and bright and bright; The protection and repair of the Giant Buddha and the Leshan Giant Buddha written by famous painters and poets, these calligraphy and painting works with unique styles, diverse techniques and vivid charm show the beauty of Jiazhou's landscape and the charm of the Leshan Giant Buddha from multiple perspectives. In addition to the static display, the Leshan Giant Buddha Exhibition also designs exhibits that the audience can touch and participate in, using audio-visual, sculpture, advanced multimedia and other technical means to make the whole exhibition intellectual, interesting and entertaining, so as to attract more tourists and audiences to enter the museum and have a deeper understanding of the history and culture of the Leshan Giant Buddha.

The "Ceramic Stone Carving Art Museum" selects the three most influential constructions in the history of Leshan, combines the display of cultural relics, connects the historical evolution of Leshan city, and is divided into three sections: Shengshi Nan'an, Foze Jiazhou, and Mingjun Leshan. "Shengshi Nan'an" mainly displays Han pottery and round carved stone carvings, through cultural relics, focusing on reflecting the rich and colorful social life of the Han Dynasty; "Foze Jiazhou", using high-tech means to display and restore the construction scene of Leshan's religious culture and Leshan Giant Buddha; "Mingjun Leshan" focuses on displaying fine porcelain from the Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasties, including the national treasure-level Ming Yongle bouquet of lotus-patterned blue and white plates, the flat cup known as the "Fair Cup" and other fine products. There is also a multimedia display of about 5 minutes, showing the carving process of the Leshan Giant Buddha 1,300 years ago, interpreting the history and culture of Leshan from an artistic perspective.

The Calligraphy and Painting Art Museum, covering an area of 390 square meters, displays the calligraphy of the contemporary writer Guo Moruo and the calligraphy and painting of Li Qiongjiu, the founder of Leshan Jiazhou Painting Academy, and the calligraphy art of past dynasties. There are Ming Dynasty "Jiebo Tu" hand scrolls, Qing Dynasty He Shaoji calligraphy and many contemporary masters such as Xu Beihong, Zhang Daqian, Qi Baishi, Wu Guanzhong calligraphy and ink treasures, each of which can be called fine works. There is also a multimedia display with a duration of about 6 minutes, showing the cultural and artistic development process of Leshan from the bronze art of the Warring States period to the establishment of the Jiazhou Painting Academy in modern times for nearly 3,000 years, so that the audience can more intuitively feel the charm of Leshan, a famous historical and cultural city.
