In March 2023, I went to Sichuan with my bestie for a seven-day trip along the western Sichuan loop. We visited the Giant Buddha in Leshan and had a great time eating there for a day. We also visited the cute little pandas in Chengdu. After returning home, I've been wanting to go back to Chengdu to see the historical sites in the city. Finally, I took the opportunity of my brother Yixing’s concert in November and took my dad to Chengdu for a three-day trip~

Day 1 (November 17, 2023): Tianjin Binhai Airport - Chengdu Tianfu Airport - Eastern Suburbs Memory - Wuhou Temple - Jinli Ancient Street, Accommodation: Home Inn (Kuanzhai Alley, Chengdu)
Day 2 (November 18, 2023): Wenshu Monastery - Daci Temple - Kuanzhai Alley - Fenghuangshan Stadium (Lay Yi's Grand Voyage 3.0 Tour Concert), Accommodation: Home Inn (Kuanzhai Alley, Chengdu)
Day 3 (November 19, 2023): Qingyang Palace - Du Fu Thatched Cottage - Jinsha Site Park, Chengdu Tianfu Airport - Tianjin Binhai Airport

I booked a car to go to the airport at 5 o'clock in the morning and took off at 7:30. After more than two hours of flight, I arrived at Chengdu, a city I love very much. This time I brought my father to Chengdu to experience the comfortable slow life.
After arriving at Tianfu Airport, follow the signs to the subway station and take the subway to the city center. Since I had breakfast on the plane this morning, I went straight to Dongjiao Memory. It's very convenient to take Line 18 directly to South Station. It only takes half an hour. Transfer at South Station to Dongjiao Memory.
Eastern Suburbs Memory is a great place for a stroll and taking photos.
Around 1:00 am, I took a taxi to Gan Ji Fei Chang Noodles for lunch.
I have to say, this old shop hidden in a residential area tastes really good. The pig intestine rice noodle and beef rice noodle are both delicious😋
After lunch, I took a taxi to my accommodation, Home Inn Kuanzhai Alley Branch, to check in. After a brief rest, I went out at around 3 o'clock and rode my bike to Wuhou Temple.
Wuhou Shrine is a great place to learn about the Three Kingdoms culture.
The environment inside is very nice, and the most popular red wall is super photogenic.
Next to the Wuhou Temple is Jinli Ancient Street. As the sky gradually darkens, the ancient street lights up and it is very beautiful.

After shopping until around 7 o'clock, I took my dad on my bike to have dinner... We chose the Zhong Dumplings flagship store in People's Park for dinner.
I had the signature Zhong dumplings, chicken cold noodles, and Sichuan jelly, all super delicious. After a satisfying meal and a satisfying drink, we were very close to the hotel. I continued cycling and strolling before returning to the hotel to rest up and prepare for the next day's stroll and the evening concert. ✌
It was a very casual stroll through the city. I slept until I woke up naturally, then went out for a bike ride to Wenshu Monastery for breakfast around 9am. I chose the "Grandma Yan Guokui" which is always in line.
My dad ordered the Guokui with Sansansi, and I chose the signature Guokui Liangfen. It was spicy and delicious. After eating and drinking, we went to the nearby Wenshu Temple to pray for world peace and happiness for mankind.
The yellow wall and the red wall are also super photogenic. There were also super long queues, but the photos they took were really beautiful~
After leaving Wenshu Monastery, I rode my scooter to Daci Temple to experience the tranquility of the city center.
The little monks at Daci Temple are so cute! I had to take a picture with them, haha.
After leaving Daci Temple, we rode our bikes to Kuanzhai Alley. How can you come to Chengdu and not visit Kuanzhai Alley? It’s wide but not narrow, narrow but not wide. Life is a journey, whether it’s wide or narrow.
First, I went to Wenrou Grandpa and Panda Grandpa and bought a few small canvas bags as souvenirs for the children. They are super cute.
After buying the bag, I went to stroll around Kuanzhai Alley~ I took some photos while walking. It was very pleasant.
After strolling through the narrow alley, continue your stroll through the wide alley.
Leave Kuanzhai Alley a little after 1:00 AM and ride your bike for five minutes to Kuixinglou Street for lunch. For lunch, choose the super popular Chunli Mao Roast Duck. Get a number online in advance so you can head straight over when you're almost there. It's very convenient.
The roast duck was super fragrant. After lunch, we crossed the street to the hotel. That's the end of our trip for today. I dropped my dad back at the hotel, packed up quickly, and then headed out to see Yixing's concert. I was in the third row backstage and got on the boat smoothly ✌
Second day in Chengdu, perfect with all the beautiful food and beautiful scenery haha
Three days passed in a flash, it was the last day of the three-day trip. I slept in until I woke up naturally, packed my luggage and left at the check-in counter. I set off at around 9:30 am and rode my bike to find a "Mai Xiang Guo Kui" restaurant near the residential area for breakfast
I ordered a beef and pork pot, both were spicy but very fragrant.
While strolling and eating breakfast, I found a small bike and rode for a few minutes to Qingyang Palace. It was my first time to experience Taoist culture. The ticket price was 10 yuan, and those over 60 years old were free.
The environment is very quiet. There is also a park and a teahouse inside. It is very enjoyable to stroll around.
Leaving Qingyang Palace, we rode our bikes to Du Fu Thatched Cottage.
As we neared the entrance of Du Fu Thatched Cottage, we saw some sugar-coated fruit on the street and immediately bought a bunch. It's a famous snack that Chengdu people have been eating since they were young, and it tastes great.
There are still many tourists in the hut, but the overall environment is very good, quiet and elegant.
This is a favorite spot. It feels very relaxing here.
After leaving Du Fu Thatched Cottage around 1:00 a.m., we decided to take a 10-minute bike ride to Grandma Zhong's Old Mother's Pig's Feet for lunch. We tried their unique Old Mother's Pig's Feet and authentic Sichuan-style Kung Pao Chicken.
After lunch, there happened to be a bus stop right in front of the door that went directly to the Jinsha Ruins Museum, so we took it to our final stop on this trip.
Visit the museum and feel the changes in history and culture~
After leaving the Jinsha Ruins Museum, we took a bus back to the hotel and had dinner. For our last meal of the trip, we had "Xiyuecheng Tan Douhua·Xiao Tan Douhua" (Little Tan Douhua). We ordered classic ice-drunk tofu pudding, tofu pudding noodles, and pea cakes.
After a satisfying meal, I returned to the hotel at 6pm to pick up my luggage, took the subway to Tianfu Airport, and flew back to Tianjin at 9pm. My three-day Chengdu trip had come to a perfect end. I look forward to seeing you again~
I went to Chengdu twice in 2023, in March and November. I always felt that Chengdu and I had a special connection, perhaps because I often listened to Zhao Lei's "Chengdu". The only thing I can't take away from Chengdu is you~ Looking forward to seeing you next time 🤭
