Zhenjiangguan Township, Zhenjiangguan is called Zhenjiangguan because it is located at the confluence of the Minjiang River and the Rewuqu River, with high mountains and rapid waters, and the terrain is dangerous. The altitude of Zhenjiangguan Township is 2,475 meters, and there is a 213 national highway passing through it, which is about 80 kilometers away from Huanglong Scenic Area.

On November 28, 2023, the Qingbaijiang East to Zhenjiangguan section of the Sichuan-Qinghai Railway was officially put into operation, ending the history of trains on the Northwest Sichuan Plateau. It takes about an hour and a half from Chengdu East Railway Station to Zhenjiangguan Station, and then transfer to a bus, medium bus and other through trains to Jiuzhaigou, and it takes about 3 hours to reach Jiuzhaigou.

At 14:28:04 on May 12, 2008, a magnitude 8.0 earthquake occurred about 11 kilometers south of Yingxiu Town, Wenchuan County, with an epicenter depth of 14 kilometers. The beautiful and prosperous Yingxiu of the past was almost razed to the ground.

The earthquake tore the earth from here, accompanied by a terrifying loud noise, millions of cubic meters of rock fragments poured down from the steep cliffs, causing turbulent rock flows, zigzag along the valley on both sides of the valley, forming a rock flow of nearly 3 kilometers long, and the original Niumian Gully was instantly increased by 30 meters.

The commemorative dial clock is forever stuck on May 12, 2008, when the earthquake occurred, reminding people of the cruelty of disasters and the fragility of life.
