Since the end of this year, we have experienced the lockdown during the epidemic, and everyone has been at home for most of the year, golden autumn October, National Day, we have ushered in the peak period of tourism, everyone can relax and go out to see!

My departure point is in Guangyuan, which is also my hometown. Guangyuan is actually an ancient city with a long history of more than 4,000 years. It belongs to Sichuan Province, known as Lizhou in ancient times, and is known as the "Queen's Hometown", "Northern Sichuan Town", "Northern Sichuan Gateway" and "Bashu Golden Triangle". In order to show its "Dulwich Broadcasting, the territory is vast", the rulers of the Yuan Dynasty changed Lizhou to Guangyuan, and this name has been used until now, so when it comes to Lizhou, there may be many friends who don't know where it is. Guangyuan has a simple and rich history, with many famous attractions such as Bailong Lake, Jianmen Shu Road, Tangjia River, Micang Mountain, Jianmen Pass, Huangze Temple and so on.

Huangze Temple Scenic Area→Guangyuan South Station (2.9KM) Tel

Opening hours: 08:00--18:00

When you arrive in Guangyuan, there is one thing you must not know, that is, the only female emperor in Chinese history, Wu Zetian is Guangyuan's!

And Huangze Temple is Wu Zetian's only temple. It is located on the banks of the Jialing River west of Guangyuan City. It is a national key cultural relics protection unit. Huangze Temple was founded in the 22nd year of Guangzheng in Later Shu (959 AD), the original Huangze Temple, facing the river is "Zetianmen", "Tianhou Grooming Building", "Le Lou" (theater building), as well as "Maitreya Buddha Hall", "Tieguanyin Hall" and other buildings.

Huangze Temple is located in the foothills of Wulong Mountain on the west bank of the Jialing River in Guangyuan. According to the "Huangze Temple Calligraphy Stele" written by Chen Hongen in the Ming Dynasty: "Huangze Temple is said to have been created by Wu Zetian". Zhang Bangshen of the Qing Dynasty said in "Yunzhan Jicheng": "Empress Wu ruled and built Huangze Temple here".

Huangze Temple, founded in the Kaiyuan period of the Tang Dynasty (959 AD), has a history of more than 1,000 years. Huangze Temple was formerly known as "Wunu Temple", also known as "Chuanzhu Temple". After Wu Zetian became emperor, in order to commemorate his Longxing land, he gave it the name "Huangze", which means "the emperor's grace is vast, and the blessings extend to his hometown". Some people also say that legend has it that Wu Zetian became a god after his death, and the people named her "Huangze" to build a temple for her, hoping that her "spirit in heaven" could be Ze and Xiangzi, so the temple has always enshrined her true image in the late period. Therefore, when you arrive at Huangze Temple, you must see Wu Zetian's true face and understand the glorious history of Wu Zetian's life.

The existing Huangze Temple was restored in the Qing Dynasty, based on the mountains, uneven, simple and elegant, with green trees and red buildings, and red railings, which are actually extraordinary.

The attractions in the temple include the Great Buddha Tower (downstairs is the Zetian Hall), the Wu Family Temple, the Lüzu Pavilion, the Five Buddha Pavilion, the Sericulture Pavilion, the Viewing Pavilion, the stone carved wall of the Song Tomb, and the stele gallery , Empress Culture Exhibition Hall, Empress Villa, etc. In addition, the temple also preserves cliff statues excavated from the Northern Wei Dynasty to the Ming and Qing dynasties.

The center of the two temples enshrines the bronze statues of Tang Gaozong Li Zhi and Wu Zetian. Here is a very rare phenomenon in Chinese history: the emperor and empress worked together in the same dynasty and controlled the government.

The two saints are slightly higher than Tang Gaozong, which means that Wu Zetian's power is greater than that of Tang Gaozong, showing Wu Zetian's power.

The left and right sides of the hall are sculpted with portraits of nine famous ministers during the reign of Emperor Gaozong and the Wuzhou Dynasty, namely Li Ji (Xu Maogong, three dynasties of generals and ministers), Li Zhaode (prime minister), Wei Yuanzhong (two prime ministers), Li Yifu (prime minister) (4 people) Shangguan

Wan'er (in charge of the palace edict), Di Renjie (prime minister, master of judging cases), Lou Shide (prime minister, famous general), Zhang Jianzhi (prime minister), Lai Junchen (cool official) and other 5 people on the right.

Come out of the Second Temple and visit the "Wu Family Temple". This temple is a Han ancestral hall building, which belongs to the place where Wu Zetian worshipped his ancestors and sages, recording the glory and tradition of the Wu family, and is the temple of the family.

On

the first day of the Wu family temple, there is a portrait of Wu Zetian's entire family. Wu Zetian's father, Wu Shi Yi (pronounced "Yue"), was one of the founding fathers of the Tang Dynasty and was excluded to Lizhou (now Guangyuan City) as governor. After the death of Wu's father's original wife, Tang Gaozu Li Yuan acted as a matchmaker and married his second wife - Yang (later named Mrs. Rongguo). After marriage, Yang gave birth to three daughters, and Wu Zetian was Yang's second daughter.

out of the Wu family temple is the "Guangyuan Huangze Temple" stele inscribed by Guo Moruo.

the "Great Buddha Tower"
at the highest point of Huangze Temple

The ground floor of the Great Buddha Tower is the Empress's true face --- Zetian Hall. The hall was built in the Tang Dynasty and was historically called "Wu Hou Zhenrong Hall" and "Zetian Holy Rear Hall".
Unlike ordinary private temples, Huangze Temple, a government-run temple built by the empress's imperial decree, does not have a "Daxiong Treasure Hall", so Zetian Temple is the main hall of Huangze Temple.

In the middle of the Zetian Hall, the only "stone statue of Wu Hou Zhenrong" is preserved in China. This is a seated stone statue of Wu Hou with an old golden body. Wu Zetian wore a crown embedded with a seated Buddha, a collar around his neck, jewels on his chest, his chest and arms exposed, his hands in front of his abdomen to make meditation seals, and he was dressed as a Buddhist virgin.

There is a "Guangzheng Stele" displayed in the hall, which is an important basis for verifying that Wu Zetian was born in Guangyuan. There is also a family tree map of the Wu family on display in the hall. Wu Zetian was born in Guangyuan in 624 AD and died in Shangyangguan in Luoyang in 705 AD, living to be 81 years old. Wu Zetian ruled for 49 years, reigned for 21 years, was empress for 28 years, empress dowager for 6 years, and officially changed the Tang Dynasty to Zhou at the age of 67, ascended the throne, and became the only female emperor in Chinese history.

It is worth noting that because the temple has always enshrined Wu Zetian's true face, a grand temple fair was held every year on Wu Zetian's birthday (the 23rd day of the first lunar month). However, this event was interrupted for a while, and it was not until 1988 that this folk festival was resumed, but the date was changed, and it was held on September 1 every year and named "Daughter's Day". Many friends from other places may not know what kind of festival Daughter's Day is!

The cliff statues of Huangze Temple are carved on the cliffs facing the river, and the main stone carved niches include the central pillar cave, the big Buddha cave, the stone niche of the Five Buddha Pavilion, and the stone niche of the Zetian Hall. In the Yinghui Building, there is a glass covered cave No. 38, which is a photo of the late Northern Wei Dynasty. There is a niche on each of the three walls, and one Buddha and two Bodhisattvas are carved in the niche, with the highest artistic level.

The Great Buddha Grottoes is a representative work of Buddhist statue art in the early Tang Dynasty of the our country. The Buddha statues in this cave are different from the Buddha statues in other places, they all have earrings. Therefore, many people say that the Buddha statue here is a stand-in statue of Wu Zetian, and Wu Zetian was promoted to Buddha after his death.

In the center of the big Buddha statue is Amitabha, who is the leader of the Western Pure Land in Buddhism. On the left and right sides are the two disciples Kasyapa and Ananda, and on the outside are the Bodhisattva of the Great Trend and the Bodhisattva of Guanyin. Amitabha, Dashizhi, and Guanyin are also known as the "Three Saints of the West". There are also disciples and strongmen on the left and right sides, all of which are carved realistically, lifelike, and very vivid.

Standing on the Big Buddha Tower built on the mountain, you can see Guangyuan City on the other side of the Jialing River. You can also see the up-and-coming Phoenix Tower~

We returned to the Big Buddha Tower and continued our journey to the "Stele Corridor", where there are inscriptions from various periods. In the middle of the stele gallery is a more than 700-year-old "Guangyuan Mansion Monument", which leaves a valuable historical material for future generations to understand the historical evolution of Guangyuan.

through the stele gallery to the "Empress Cultural Exhibition Hall". This is the only large-scale Wu Zetian special exhibition hall in China, mainly to understand the glorious history of Wu Zetian's life.
The exhibition hall covers an area of more than 2,300 square meters and is divided into two parts. The first part uses the four units of "Longxing Lizhou", "Towards the Throne", "Great Achievements", and "Wordless Monument" to truly reflect Wu Zetian's extraordinary life from birth to his reign. The second part is the history of the top ten queens in the world.

In the era of patriarchal rule, Wu Zetian was called emperor as his daughter, and he was alone throughout the ages. Wu Zetian entered the palace at the age of 14, participated in politics at the age of 32, became emperor at the age of 67, and died at the age of 81. When Wu Zetian was in power, he inherited and developed the rule of Zhenguan of Tang Taizong, which inspired Tang Xuanzong to create the prosperous era of the Kaiyuan era, which can be described as "one person from ancient and modern, unique for a thousand years".

The world always argues about Wu Zetian's evaluation, with praise and condemnation coexisting. In the study of ancient Chinese history, there is no second character that can make historians have such a contradictory evaluation, and Wu Zetian is destined to be a character who cannot "cover the coffin" and cannot "conclude".

After visiting the Empress Cultural Exhibition Hall, we ended the entire tour of the Huangze Temple Scenic Area.

Zhaohua Ancient City is a national 4A-level tourist attraction, Zhaohua Ancient City is located at the confluence of Bailongjiang, Jialing River and Qingjiang River, where the water of the Jialing River is whirlwind, the water system is formed, Tai Chi is natural, and it has the reputation of "the world's first landscape Tai Chi" natural wonder. The ancient city is surrounded by mountains on all sides, facing water on three sides, beautiful mountains and rivers, outstanding people, many ancient ruins and relics, simple and elegant folk customs, is an ideal place for tourists to sightsee, leisure and vacation, and scholars and archaeological research.

The ancient city of Zhaohua is not big, but it takes a day to turn it down carefully. There are four main streets (Taishou Street, Tufei Street, Xiangfu Street, and County Ya Street) and five alleys in the city.

In 316 BC, the Qin state conquered the Zhi state and established Jiameng County here , becoming one of the earliest counties in Chinese history to implement the county management system. Therefore, Zhaohua is a veritable "first county in Bashu".

Zhaohua was known as Jiameng in ancient times, with a history of more than 2,100 years, and was known as the "important town of the Three Kingdoms of Shu Road". It is the only well-preserved ancient city of the Three Kingdoms in China.

Continuing to walk, you can see a simple and elegant archway - "Jiameng Archway". This Jiamengfang, 8.6 meters high and 6.8 meters wide, is majestic, and the couplets and patterns on it focus on Zhaohua's long history, heavy culture, unique transportation and military status and magical Taiji landscape. The pillar couplet on the east side of the archway is "the important town of the Three Kingdoms of Shu Road, the first Tai Chi in the world". It is engraved with the patterns of "Shu Han Xing Yu Jiameng", "Orange Cypress Ancient Crossing", and "Landscape Tai Chi".

In the 52 years from Liu Bei's entry into Jiameng during the Three Kingdoms period to the fall of Shu Han, Liu Bei, Zhuge Liang, Zhang Fei, Ma Chao and many other heroes of the Three Kingdoms strategized in Zhaohua, leaping horses and Yange, leaving behind a large number of relics of the Three Kingdoms and Shu Han.

The couplet on the west side of the archway is "The first county of Bashu and the second capital of Shu". Around 400 BC, the ancient Shu Kingdom established the "Zhi Kingdom" from the north of Cangxi County to the south of Hanzhong, and built the capital on the earthen foundation dam where the Jialing River and the Bailongjiang River meet outside Zhaohua City (then called Tufei City), so Zhaohua was called the "second capital of Shu". At the end of the Eastern Han Dynasty, due to the catastrophic flood in Tufei City, the city was moved to today's Zhaohua Ancient City. The archway is also engraved with patterns such as "Fei Yi opened the government to govern affairs", "Zhaohua Ximen City Tower", "Tianxiongguan Ancient Post Road" and so on.

In ancient times, if you went from Chengdu to Chang'an (Xi'an), you had to enter and exit from the west gate, and from Chang'an (Xi'an) to Chengdu, you had to enter and exit from the east gate and the west gate, so Jiameng Pass was the key point of the Qin and Shu ancient roads. As early as more than 2,000 years ago, Jiameng Pass became a famous ancient battlefield, where there are stories of Zhang Fei lighting lamps and fighting Ma Chao at night, Yan Yan retreating Cao Jun and Jiang Weibing trapped in Niutou Mountain.

to Fengmen

The Sichuan-Shaanxi Highway was completed in 1936, and the Baocheng Railway was opened to traffic in 1953, and Zhaohua's important transportation status was no longer there. The once bustling ancient city is becoming more and more neglected, and the ancient city has become a tourist place, and tourists can visit the city tower with an attraction pass.

The tower of Zhanfeng Gate was restored to its original appearance in the Ming Dynasty, with a height of 9.8 meters. The city gate cave is 4.2 meters high, 3.25 meters wide and 11.2 meters deep. Tourists can go up to the city tower with the attraction pass.

into the "Gu Family Compound" in South Gate Alley. The compound is one of the representative buildings of the ancient houses in Nanmen Alley.

The courtyard is well-carved, with the characteristics of low eaves and thick walls of northern houses and "dry boat patios".

The courtyard is a typical wooden courtyard of the Qing Dynasty, with several courtyards, most of which are on the first floor and one bottom, with carved beams and painted buildings, exquisite and transparent.

The historical Zhaohua is a water and land transportation hub, coupled with the beautiful natural environment, there are many officials and merchants, literati and sorcerers, peddlers and pawns, boatmen and brothels who come and go from the south to the north, "thousands of people bow their hands during the day, and 100,000 lights at night", developed commerce and trade, prosperous culture, leisurely life, people linger back and forth, intoxicated, so there is a folk song "When you arrive in Zhaohua, you don't want to be parents". Today, although the prosperity of the past is gone, the long and heavy history of the ancient city is still attractive to pursue and taste.

Take a walk along the street at night and watch the night view of the ancient city. The ancient city in the night has only one tranquility. At this point, the attractions of Zhaohua Ancient City are introduced here, of course, many attractions may be missed, and they cannot be introduced because they have not entered.

DAY2-Guangyuan Zhaohua Ancient City Scenic Area→→ Chengdu City (National Highway 108> G5 Beijing-Kunming Expressway>S57 Chengbei Exit Expressway> Fuqing Cross Line Bridge>Section 3 of Hongxing Road >Hongwa Temple Street") 4 hours by car, 280KM

[Journey Plan] Hongwa Temple

NO.3 in Chengdu City The old mandarin duck tower

city of Hongwa Temple

, Chengdu

, has always been a city that can move people's hearts.

When I go out, whenever I walk on the street at night, my thoughts will be all over the sky, but I will always miss Chengdu from time to time.

It seems that no matter how many places you go, you can't return to Chengdu, sit on an old bench, eat a bowl of steaming noodles, and in a moment, time freezes on the streets of Chengdu, solidified on the rising heat.

those who have been to Chengdu, or have never been to Chengdu; those who grew up in Chengdu, or passed through Chengdu in a hurry; It is hard to deny that the land of Chengdu has his unique temperament.

The dust is dusty, and there will eventually be a way back, and my way home is destined to be in Chengdu.

Exploring ancient Shu, the imprint
of Chengdu engraved in time

The most lively and ancient place in Chengdu, the Mandarin Duck Tower of Hongwa Temple must be regarded as one.

The

original appearance of old Chengdu | Mandarin Duck Tower

This is an old residential area, It looks very shabby, but it is also beautiful and real.

In the 70s of the last century, Sichuan University built this building to solve the housing problem of young faculty and staff, and distributed it to people who were married and had children, or who planned to get married and prepare to have children. This is how the "Mandarin Duck Tower" was called.

The Mandarin Duck Building is now a rental house for migrant workers. Outside the wall is a street full of fireworks, and inside the wall is an alley of the old time, and a completely different world hides the appearance of Lao Chengdu.

Red bricks and blue tiles, between the dilapidated buildings, there are times of old life in Chengdu.

[Journey plan] Jinli

NO.3 "Jinli"

Dreaming back to Chengdu, the sultry night in Jinli | Jinli

"The dappled sunlight wanders here, and every step is carried with attachment and return, towards the quaint and deep alleys.

The wooden doors are very quiet, the lattice windows are very quiet, and the time on the tiled houses and carved eaves is very quiet. The flowing water surrounds here, the lights rise and fall here, and the moonlight shuttles here.

Packing the quiet life, standing alone in front of Jinli Gate, looking around the sky above and the greenery beside him, there are ancient shouts from the long alleys, the gaiwan tea floats out of a strong classical charm, and the colorful curtain cover sways left and right in the wind.

The path is tortuous, the bluestone bricks go all the way forward, the red lacquered wooden door is closed, revealing the flowery faces of Sichuan opera, and a refreshing singing voice. It lengthened Jinli's long time

Jinli is regarded as a must-visit place in Chengdu, and there must be a reason for it. Although it is more popular, you still have to go to Jinli once when you come to Chengdu, and you can't go to Chengdu without Jinli.
Although its current things are rebuilt in modern times, Jinli has been a famous commercial center in the country since the Qin, Han and Three Kingdoms periods, and can be described as one of the oldest pedestrian streets in China.

Today's Jinli, traditional handicrafts, paper-cutting, sugar paintings, etc. have stalls here, and the shadow puppet show is even more fascinating.

In 2005, Jinli was selected as one of the "Top Ten Commercial Pedestrian Streets in China" and was known as the Chengdu version of the "Qingming River Map".

Here, you can admire the craftsmanship of kneading clay figures and arranging sugar paintings, and you can also visit shops with the characteristics of the Three Kingdoms. There are also a variety of Sichuan specialty snacks on the street, and various teahouses, cafes, bars, inns, etc. can be seated at any time.

But personally, I think that Jinli can not go during the day, but Jinli at night is really beautiful.

When friends from other places come to Chengdu, I will recommend Jinli, the red lanterns on both sides of the street, which are particularly beautiful. The streets are flanked by cyan brick walls and antique carved wooden buildings, which are simple and elegant.

Jinli is even more lively at night, with some small bars and a pot of wine to get life drunk here.

In addition, Jinli is also a food street, ice powder, bowl chicken, three cannons, hoof flowers, mash, pot helmets, rabbit heads, etc.
Location:

Address: Jinli
, No. 1, No. 231, Wuhouci Street, Wuhou District, Chengdu

Nearby transportation: Jinli →→ Chengdu North Railway Station (23 minutes by car, 12KM)

Jinli →→ Chengdu High-speed Railway Station (East Station) - about 30 minutes by car, 17KM

Metro line: Metro Line 5 Gaoshengqiao Station/Line 5 Provincial Orthopedic Hospital Station

Tips: Jinli is next to the Wuhou Shrine. There are countless attractions in Chengdu, and the must-visit list is (1) Chengdu Giant Panda Breeding Research Base, (2) Kuanzhai Alley, (3) People's Park, (4) Huanhuaxi Park, (5) (6) (7) (8)..... Wait, I won't explain it one by one here, you can go to the surrounding attractions to play during the day, and experience the slow life of Chengdu at night, mahjong, teahouses, and strolling by the Funan River is also a good experience.

That's it, thanks for watching!
