Pixue Waterfall, also known as Xiangxue Spring, is located at the foot of Bifeng Mountain, 4 kilometers northwest of the city , in Shiban Village, Bifeng Subdistrict Office. The waterfall cascades down like a hanging snow curtain, hence the name .
The waterfall is 900 meters long and can be divided into three sections: the front is the " cascading waterfall " , which is about 50 meters long, with cascading waterfalls and splashing pearls and jade, and is called the " front waterfall " ; the middle is the " valley " , called the " dragon " , which is about 800 meters long, with rolling snow waves rushing forward; the back is the " hanging waterfall " , which is about 50 meters high, with long hanging waterfalls and thundering snow avalanches, and is called the " back waterfall " .
The Pixue Waterfall is flanked by sheer cliffs and jagged rocks. On the left bank, a cave called Pixue Cave stands, bearing inscriptions from the Shaosheng period of the Song Dynasty. Yao Kao, a renowned scholar of the Tongcheng School, wrote "A Record of a Visit to Pixue Waterfall," capturing its magnificent beauty.
