Beian Village is located in Beian Town, southeast of She County , Huangshan City, just 18 kilometers from the county seat. Also known as Beixi, Beian was founded in the Song Dynasty. Surrounded by verdant mountains, the Mianxi River flows through the village to the west. Most villagers are surnamed Wu, with Taibo as the founding ancestor and Zhongyong as the founding ancestor.

Here, there are hundreds of ancient dwellings and ancient streets and alleys from the Ming and Qing dynasties. Stone paving and horse-head walls are prominent features. The Hui culture is pure and profound, with a lasting charm. The grand brick door covers, sturdy bean-stone foundations, and attic doors and windows covered with auspicious floral patterns speak of its former glory.

The three-hole stone arch bridge south of the village, known as the " Wind and Rain Corridor Bridge , " stretches across the Mianxi River. It is simple, elegant, and exquisitely crafted.
