Introducing Chinatown Bay

Niuche Bay is located 30 kilometers east of Sanya City, between Haitang Bay and Yalong Bay, facing Wuzhizhou Island. When viewing Niuche Bay from the sea, the hills and reefs on the right are like a cart shaft, corresponding to the Wuzhizhou Island in front that looks like an old ox. The whole shape is like an ox cart of an old farmer in the countryside, hence the name Niuche Bay.

The water here is crystal clear, with rich corals of various colors and shapes, and a wide variety of tropical fish. The beach reef area connected to the beach is home to numerous marine life, and the water is less than knee-deep when the tide goes out, making it an excellent place for sea fishing. The 1,700-meter-long beach has white and fine sand. The army's barracks are hidden among wild pineapple trees, phoenix trees, and coconut trees.

The entire bay is backed by rolling tropical rainforests with dense forests and rich vegetation. There are also well-preserved air-raid shelters, watchtowers, bunkers, smoke towers, air-raid shelters and other military facilities in the mountains and forests. The Millennium Dawn live broadcast point is not far from here.

Route: The mouth of the mountain stream on the right side of the bay - the giant rock sea-viewing platform - the military signal tower, a round trip of about two hours.

After about a half-hour hike through dense tropical rainforest, we reached a flat, rocky platform overlooking the sea, offering panoramic views of Chinatown Bay. Continuing the climb for about 20 minutes, we arrived at the base of the massive rock beneath the military signal tower. Climbing the tower allows us to relive the feelings of the soldiers stationed there. From this vantage point, we can admire the sea, the bay, the rainforest, and, in the distance, even higher, the signal tower and other military installations.

Air-raid shelter exploration

Start from the bar, walk through the straight corridor, turn slightly left, and walk straight along the winding tree-lined path for about 3 minutes. You will pass the Qingliang Stone and the ancient tombs from the Guangxu period. Go straight and reach two Casuarina trees halfway up the mountain. Look back and you can see the garage (or armory) halfway up the mountain in the distance. Turn left and climb up the hill. You will pass a small cement road where the air-raid shelter was built. Follow the road north into the rainforest and you will see the sentry post halfway up the mountain. Turn right and walk along the mountain road until you see the large stone gate of the air-raid shelter and the reservoir next to it.
