Wulao Peak is located at the back door of Nanputuo Temple. Most tourists will visit Nanputuo Temple or the Botanical Garden together. It takes about half an hour to an hour to walk from the foot of the mountain to the top. There are many viewing platforms along the way where you can see the panoramic view of Xiamen and take photos. From the highest point, you can see all the buildings of Xiamen University and Gulangyu Island.
Wulao Peak, formerly known as Wulao Mountain, is located in the southeastern corner of Xiamen, Fujian. It was designated one of Xiamen's Eight Great Scenic Spots during the Qing Dynasty and was named one of Xiamen's New Twenty Famous Scenic Spots in 1997. To reach Wulao Peak, you can choose to go from Nanputuo Temple or Xiamen Botanical Garden. However, if you go from the Botanical Garden, you need to buy a 40 yuan ticket to the Botanical Garden, which is free before 6:30 every day.
