Fuhai Temple, located at the entrance of Zengcuo'an Village, was first built in the 25th year of the Hongwu reign of the Ming Dynasty. Surrounded by the bustling streets and bustling traffic, it appears somewhat desolate. Within the temple, Mazu and Baosheng Dadi sit solemnly on the shrines in the main hall. The hall's plaque inscribes "Baosheng Dadi," and the couplets throughout the hall read, "Yao and Shun among women, mother among men, magpies and angels among men, immortals in the world and celestial beings in the heavens," highlighting the shifting status of host and guest. The co-veneration of two deities, one emperor and one empress, is a unique practice in Xiamen.
