Founded in 1919, the Xiamen Municipal Library is located in the Xiamen Culture and Art Center at 95 Tiyu Road, Siming District, Xiamen. It boasts two floors of open reading space, integrating storage, lending, access, retrieval, and consultation. It houses a collection of 2.348 million books, 920,000 e-books, and a 126.25TB electronic resource database, with a focus on local literature from southern Fujian. The Xiamen Municipal Library currently comprises a main library at the Xiamen Culture and Art Center and 17 branches across Siming, Huli, Jimei, and Xiang'an districts. The library also collaborates with six district libraries in the city to form the Xiamen Public Library Service Consortium.
