Fanchuanpu Catholic Church is located at No. 54 Xinmin Street , Chaoyang Road, Cangshan District, Fuzhou City, Fujian Province. It was first built in the third year of Tongzhi Period of the Qing Dynasty (1864 ) and rebuilt in the 22nd year of the Republic of China (1933 ) . It covers an area of ​​8,400 square meters and has a construction area of ​​1,253.7 square meters. It is a Gothic building.

At the north end of the main church stands a bell tower over 20 meters high, with a nearly 3- meter-high cross atop. Once, the bell tower's time announcements could be heard for over ten miles, earning it the nickname " the largest church in Jiangnan ." It remains the largest Catholic church in Fujian Province and serves as the main cathedral for both Fujian Province and Fuzhou City.
