The Ye Family Residence, located on the south side of Nanhou Street in Fuzhou, is the former residence of Mr. Ye Zaiqi, a Jinshi in the 12th year of the Guangxu period. Mr. Ye Zaiqi was the supervisor of the " Fujian University " in the 27th year of the Guangxu period (that is, the principal of Fuzhou No. 1 Middle School).
Built in the Ming Dynasty, the Ye Family Residence, facing south and covering 2,321 square meters, blends the styles of the Ming, Qing, and Republican eras. It is one of the best-preserved ancient residences still standing on Nanhou Street. It boasts over a thousand exhibits representing intangible cultural heritage.
