The courtyard is located at the foot of Gushan Mountain. It was originally an official office. Later, the original site was converted into the starting point of the Gushan tourist cableway.

Next to it is a stone gate archway with a couplet: "The earth produces a spiritual spring that moistens the sea, and the natural stone drum stabilizes the center of Fujian." Near the stone gate archway is the " First Pavilion of Fujian Mountain " , named after Zhu Xi's inscription " First Pavilion of Fujian Mountain " .
