Diamond Legs is a scenic spot on the Minjiang River. Legend has it that Diamond washed his feet here, earning its name. The massive rock jutting steeply from the riverbank resembles Diamond's feet, wearing boots and washing his feet by the riverbank. The overhanging leg reaches 26 meters, serving as a natural navigational beacon. Inscriptions on the rock include "Diamond Legs" written by Fujian Governor Li Houji in 1921 and "Diamond Washing Feet" by renowned naval veteran Sa Zhenbing.
Diamond Legs are located beneath the cliffs of Shilong Mountain in Hangcheng, Changle District, Fuzhou, on the lower reaches of the Minjiang River. A granite strip stretching from the foot of the mountain to the surface of the river, it resembles the thigh of King Kong, with boots on the soles and toes raised, hence the name "Diamond Legs," a truly descriptive term. Located at the boundary between the Minjiang River and the sea, the water on either side of this "leg" varies in saltiness, making it even more magical.
