Introducing Jingxian Park

The park covers a total area of ​​47,445 square meters, including 4,850 square meters of roads and plazas, 23,515 square meters of green space, and 18,000 square meters of water. The project also renovated the Jingxian Cemetery, consolidating the 16 ancestral tombs of Tan Kah Kee and placing them in two newly constructed pagodas within the park. The Lee Foundation of Singapore and the Jimei District Government also jointly funded the erection of bronze statues of Tan Boon Que, Tan Lark Sye, and Lee Kong Chian within the park.

Directly across from the main gate of Jimei University's College of Marine Engineering lies a recreational park built with 12 million yuan raised by the Jimei District People's Government and the Jimei University Committee in memory of Chen Jingxian. Construction began in late 2001 as part of Jimei University's 90th anniversary celebrations, and after nearly two years of dedicated effort, it was completed by the end of August 2003.

Climate and best time to travel

The subtropical monsoon climate, in order to forever commemorate Mr. Jingxian who is respected by the people of Jimei, the Jimei District Government and Jimei School Committee decided to expand a memorial leisure park based on the Jingxian tomb tower area on the occasion of the 90th anniversary of Jimei School, which is suitable for travel in all seasons.
