The Shi Kefa Memorial Hall is a famous historical site commemorating Shi Kefa, a national hero who fought against the Qing Dynasty in the late Ming Dynasty. It is located at No. 24 Guangchumenwai Street, Yangzhou City, Jiangsu Province. It was first built during the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty and rebuilt in the ninth year of Tongzhi. It was listed as a cultural relic protection unit in Jiangsu Province in 1956.

In 1962, Chairman Zhu De inscribed the plaque for the museum. Located south of the Gucheng River and on the banks of Meihua Ridge, the museum covers over 6,000 square meters and is now home to the Shi Kefa Temple and Tomb, a provincial-level cultural relic protection site, and a provincial-level patriotic education base.

Shigong Temple

The Shigong Temple faces the ancient moat. The eastern part is Shigong's tomb, and the front is the banquet hall.

The couplet "A few plum blossoms shed tears for a fallen nation, a half-moon reflects the heart of a former minister" in front of the hall corridor was written by Zhang Erxun of the Qing Dynasty. General Secretary Jiang Zemin has introduced it numerous times both domestically and internationally, and in October 1991, he personally accompanied former North Korean President Kim Il-sung on a visit. A lacquer-coated statue of Shi Kefa stands in the center of the hall. Cabinets on either side display materials such as a jade belt, ivory seals, and memorial paintings. The ancestral hall displays a chronology of Shi Kefa's life and calligraphy by renowned figures from home and abroad. Behind it is Plum Blossom Ridge, with the Plum Blossom Pavilion to the east. To the north of the ridge lies the Qingxue Pavilion, also known as the Hall of Relics, where stone inscriptions of Shi Gong's handwritten letter to Prince Duoerqiu of the Qing Dynasty and family letters are embedded in its walls. The Shi Gong Temple, dotted with ancient trees and rocks, inspires a sense of national pride and patriotism when paying tribute to Shi Gong. President Jiang Zemin has mentioned this couplet many times to friends at home and abroad. He said, "Outside Yangzhou City, on Plum Blossom Ridge, lies the cenotaph of national hero Shi Kefa. In front of the tomb stands a couplet: 'A few plum blossoms shed tears for a fallen nation, a half of the bright moon evokes the heart of a loyal subject.' This couplet is very effective in inspiring one's national pride and patriotic enthusiasm." In 1991, when he accompanied North Korean Chairman Kim Il Sung on a visit to this place, he personally introduced this couplet to him, saying, "We must view issues historically and apply a historical perspective to the past. Our current slogan is 'Long live the great unity of the Chinese nation.'"
