Nashan is located in Yuetang Town, Yizheng City, between Yangzhou, Nanjing and Zhenjiang. Nashan is an ancient shield volcano that erupted between 5 and 12 million years ago. In addition to a main crater, the volcano is also accompanied by 5 secondary volcanic structures, which is the first case in Jiangsu Province.
There are rich geological relic resources here. The crater was formed by the Cenozoic volcanic eruption many years ago and has a complete geological structure. The wood and bone fossils that are rare both at home and abroad are of great research value in East China.
