Xuzhou Botanical Garden is located on the north side of Erhuan North Road, south of Jiuli Mountain and east of Pingshan Road. This time, the roads and green spaces in the original nursery were renovated, and a flower trading center, service center and greenhouse natural ecological museum were built.
The botanical garden is divided into five functional areas: a specialized plant garden, a tree garden, a bonsai garden, an ornamental greenhouse science education area, and a flower trading and exhibition area. The specialized plant garden focuses on northern-style Rosaceae plants, while there are also several smaller gardens, including an osmanthus garden, a grass garden, a cypress garden, a colorful leaf garden, an aquatic plant garden, and a medicinal plant garden.
Walking into the gate of the greenhouse ecological museum, you will see many tall tropical and subtropical plants planted in the east area, including alpine fig, rubber fig, pot-frame wood, queen palm, Nanyang Ying, longevity fruit, frangipani, banyan willow, carambola... Not only are many tree species rarely seen locally, but many people have heard of their names for the first time.
On the northwest side of the greenhouse natural ecology museum is the desert plant area, with two or three meter high Buddha belly trees, African king trees, and Wulun column mace trees, shorter ones include Venus, Dafenglong, South American mango, and desert rose, as well as strange-shaped Beixin Qilin, copper green Qilin, ginseng euphorbia, and inflated coral.
The temperate semi-humid monsoon climate features four distinct seasons, with neither extreme summer heat nor severe winter cold. The annual temperature is 14°C, with 2,284 to 2,495 hours of sunshine, representing a sunshine rate of 52% to 57%. The average annual frost-free period is 200 to 220 days, and the average annual precipitation is 800 to 930 mm, with the rainy season accounting for 56% of the annual precipitation.
All seasons are suitable for travel, but spring is the best.
Magnolia Garden

These flowers resemble lotus flowers, and when in full bloom, their petals spread out in all directions, creating a dazzling display of green and white in the courtyard, making them highly ornamental.
Medicine Garden
The park features a herbal medicine garden, displaying common cordyceps plants based on Li Shizhen's Compendium of Materia Medica. A common prescription garden and a science gallery are also featured, promoting scientific knowledge through engaging and accessible means. The garden boasts over 50 varieties.
