The Boiling Well Spring is located in Jiuli Village, Yanling Town, Danyang City, about 20 kilometers from the city. Six ancient wells are lined up in a row near the Jizi Temple in Jiuli Village, with the wellheads very close to each other. According to historical records, there were hundreds of wells here in ancient times, some of which were boiling wells. The water in the wells is surging and boiling, with a roaring sound.

There are six ancient boiling wells, three clear and three turbid, each about a foot apart. From a distance, the well rails appear simple and elegant, imbued with a unique charm. A closer look reveals the surging, roiling water within, creating a rumbling sound. This unique spectacle captivates visitors. Furthermore, within the ditches and ponds surrounding the temple, numerous boiling springs bubbling endlessly. Locals call this "dragon energy" and refer to the boiling wells and ponds as "dragon pond" or "boiling pond."

Next to the Boiling Well is a temple dedicated to Ji Zi, a famous sage from the Spring and Autumn Period. Local villagers believe that because the temple is located there, there's a dragon at the bottom of the well, and the bubbles are the dragon's breathing. Of course, this isn't scientifically plausible.
