Introducing Zheng Wangling Museum

The Zhengwang Mausoleum Site Museum is located north of the Zheng Nobles Cemetery in the southwest of the eastern city of the Zheng-Han Ancient City. The entire site covers approximately 500,000 square meters. The Xinzheng Municipal Cultural Relics Administration conducted a drilling survey of the entire cemetery and discovered an extremely dense distribution of tombs, totaling over 3,000. This is the largest number of tombs discovered in China during the Spring and Autumn Period, and its density is extremely rare among cemeteries of the same period, so dense that it can be described as a place where even a cow cannot lie down.

Both the north and south passages of this tomb contain numerous chariots. These chariots are of various shapes and decorations, all of which were buried in dismantled form. Currently, 40 chariots of various types have been discovered in the south passage, and 5 in the north passage. Most of these chariots are painted brownish-red. Excluding the chariots in the accompanying burial pit No. 3, the total number of chariots in the passages of the Zhongzi Tomb is 45, the largest number of chariots ever excavated in my country. This is a rare sight of Spring and Autumn period chariots.
