
Zhumadian Museum is located on the south side of Tianzhong Square in Yichong District. It has an exhibition area of 7,585 square meters, an exhibition line length of 1,177 meters, and more than 2,000 cultural relics on display . It is the only comprehensive museum in Zhumadian City that focuses on both history and art, and integrates collection, exhibition, research, archaeology, public education, and cultural exchange.
The museum focuses on representative artifacts unearthed in Zhumadian, presenting major archaeological discoveries, significant historical events, and figures in chronological order. It brings together stone tools, pottery, porcelain, bronze, gold, silver, and jade artifacts, as well as valuable modern and contemporary literature. It also highlights regional cultural characteristics, comprehensively and systematically showcasing the magnificent historical landscape and rich cultural heritage of the Tianzhong region.
The museum currently features a basic exhibition, "Heavy Heaven," and three special exhibitions, "Ancient Springs and Heaven and Earth," "Soul of Fire and Earth," and "Ink Splendor," displaying over 2,000 artifacts and images . The exhibits range from the Paleolithic Age to the Ming and Qing Dynasties and modern times, and many are masterpieces from the museum's collection.
