Fushougou is an underground water conservancy project located in Ganzhou, Jiangxi Province. Built during the Northern Song Dynasty, it was overseen by Liu Yi, a water conservancy expert who served several times as the Minister of Water Resources. It is a rare example of a sophisticated and complex ancient urban drainage system. Despite withstanding over 900 years of wind and rain, it remains intact and continues to serve as the primary channel for Ganzhou residents to dispose of their sewage.
Ganzhou City is located on the southern edge of the mid-subtropical zone and belongs to the subtropical monsoon climate zone. It has the following climatic characteristics: prevailing winter and summer monsoons, concentrated precipitation in spring and summer, distinct four seasons, and a mild climate.
