
Longyuan Gorge, located deep within the Yunju Mountain National Scenic Area in Yongxiu County, Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province, is approximately an hour and a half's drive from both Nanchang and Jiujiang. A stunning scenic spot recently developed, Longyuan Gorge has been captivated by its stunning scenery, earning it the nickname "the Amazon of the East" and "the Jiuzhaigou of the South."
While Longyuan Gorge isn't the most beautiful place in the world, its beauty is rare. Just over 20 kilometers from the scenic area, you'll find lush mountains, verdant fields, picturesque villages, and simple folk customs, creating a truly secluded paradise.
Walk into the majestic gate of the scenic area and park in the vast lawn parking lot. After entering the gate of the scenic area, you will see mountain flowers blooming everywhere, tung flowers all over the mountains in the mist, water wheels turning, streams flowing, pavilions, corridors and bridges competing for brilliance, white clouds floating on the mountains, and mist filling the forest.
The subtropical monsoon climate has high temperatures in summer and mild winters, making it suitable for travel in all four seasons.
Longyuan Gorge has natural landscapes such as Shuangyan Sea, Sanxing Ridge, Shili Creek, Bailu Bay, Qianfu Beach, and Wanshou Mountain, as well as cultural landscapes such as Hui-style buildings, Tongxin Bridge, Imperial Maple, Butterfly Valley, and the Zhu Yuanzhang Ruins.
