Tianxiang Garden, located in the middle section of Qingshan Hunan Avenue in the east of Nanchang City, draws on the heritage of Jiangxi folk house art and integrates gardening, Zen Buddhism, bird-watching, calligraphy, and tea art. It is hailed by experts as a " paradise of cultural ecology " and is called a bird paradise and a bonsai ocean by Chinese and foreign horticultural scholars and experts.
Tianxiang Garden boasts over 20,000 bonsai of various sizes, many of which are exquisite works that have won numerous national and international awards, forming a unique Gan style of bonsai: natural, rugged, simple, and elegant. Most impressive are the 6,000 tree stump bonsai, most of which are ancient forest trees ranging in age from 100 to 900 years old. These are rare in the world and the largest collection in China.
The park's wetlands, lakes, and pristine swamps are scattered throughout, with clusters of tall trees forming a unique urban oasis. Every year, it attracts numerous migratory birds to nest and breed here. Statistics show that the number of birds reaches over 200,000 , with 32 species of wild birds . It is one of the " World Migratory Bird Conservation Centers " designated by the United Nations World Bird Conservation Organization .
The seasons are suitable, with spring and autumn being the best. From March to April, you can see flocks of migratory birds coming here to inhabit.
