Introducing Sister Lakes

Lijiang's Sister Lakes, located next to Yufeng Temple on Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, were converted into the Sister Lakes Resort in 1998. Since its establishment, the resort has primarily focused on dining, leisure, and entertainment. Whether it was a stroke of nature or a deliberate design by our ancestors, the Sister Lakes have existed since ancient times beside Yufeng Temple, renowned for its thousands of camellia trees. Its tranquility and breathtaking scenery have attracted weekends and holidays, attracting people to enjoy picnics and connect with nature. This has led to the saying in Lijiang, "Where to go for a weekend getaway? Sister Lakes outside Yufeng Temple."

The scenic area is not far from Lijiang city. You can take the bus to the scenic area or go with a tour group. Most of the people here are local citizens relaxing. There are not many tourists in Sister Lake Scenic Area, and it is very interesting to visit. It would be very artistic if you can camp by the green lake. However, I suggest that tourists bring their own food. The food in the scenic area is not delicious, and some of it is not fresh. It is best to bring your own food, since you will go back at night anyway.

Climate and best time to travel

With a subtropical monsoon climate, Sister Lake offers beautiful scenery in all seasons. Visitors can enjoy the azaleas in spring, pick mushrooms in summer, gather pine seeds in autumn, and chant under the snow in winter. It is a great place for travel.
