Introducing Xiake Pavilion

Xiake Pavilion is located within the Guanyin Gorge Scenic Area in Qihe Township, Lijiang Old Town District. This area was once visited by Xu Xiake. In 1639, at the invitation of Tusi Muzeng, Xu Xiake traveled from Dali to Lijiang, where he spent 15 days. This was the only gateway for Xu Xiake to enter the Lijiang Basin from Dali and Heqing. It is said that Xu Xiake entered Lijiang from here and stayed at Xiake Pavilion. Later, the "Xiake Pavilion" and its anthropomorphic stone statue were built in his memory. He also wrote a detailed account of this in his travelogue, "Xu Xiake's Travel Notes," writing, "This mountain is truly the key to its beauty." This is the best vantage point for a close-up view of the Guanyin Gorge Scenic Area.
