The Bosten Lake Scenic Area is located in Bohu County, named after the country's largest inland freshwater lake, Bosten Lake. The lake boasts the country's largest collection of wild water lilies, numerous migratory bird species, and stunning lakeside scenery.
The vast waters and white sandy beaches, the lakeside wetlands and the vast and misty water surface attract people to come here to take a boat tour on the lake, watch birds and flowers, and taste the fishermen's delicacies. Here there is not only nature, but also life.
The best time to visit Bosten Lake is summer, when it's primarily visited by local Xinjiang residents. In summer, the lake's emerald waters, the wetlands' warmth, and the opportunity to photograph lotus flowers and migratory birds create a breathtaking spectacle. Ice and snow tours have also become increasingly popular in recent years, and winter activities like ice sports and skiing are also a welcome addition.
