Introducing Taibao Park

Taibao Park, named for its location at the foot of Taibao Mountain in Baoshan City, Yunnan Province, is lushly forested, primarily with pine, cypress, and birch trees. With a forest coverage rate exceeding 90%, the park offers a prime spot for panoramic views of Baoshan.

Hanging at the gate of Taibao Park in Baoshan, Yunnan, is a couplet that reads: "In the morning, ascending the high peaks, following the winding paths to secluded places, listening to the cries of wild birds and the echo of the waves of pine trees; in the evening, embracing the bright moon, shadows play on the branches of flowers, watching the stars shine down to the earth and the lights of thousands of houses dance on the earth." This couplet beautifully describes the scenery one encounters when ascending Taibao Mountain.

Climate and best time to travel

The tropical monsoon climate combines the advantages of continental and maritime climates. Winter and spring are sunny and warm, while summer and autumn have a mix of sunny and rainy weather and are cool and pleasant. All four seasons are suitable for travel.

Recommended number of days and locations for visiting

The Jade Emperor Pavilion and Jade Buddha Temple are located on the mountainside of Taibao Mountain. The Jade Emperor Pavilion, a three-story Ming Dynasty structure with brackets, is magnificent, exquisitely crafted, and imposing. The inscription on the second floor is different when viewed from the front, left, and right. From the front, the beige characters "至誠无忌" (sincere and without fear) appear; from the left, the green characters "龙飞凤凰舞" (dragons and phoenixes dance); and from the right, the maroon characters "海安河清" (seas and rivers are peaceful and clear) are quite intriguing. Climbing over 700 steps, the summit boasts a panoramic view of the entire Baoshan Mountain, including the Wangcheng Tower, a stage, and the Songyuan Pavilion. The summit also houses the Wuhou Temple, the second largest temple in Southwest China.

It is recommended to play for about 1 hour.
