Luocheng Ancient Town, located northeast of Jianwei County, 60 kilometers from Leshan City, is home to seven ethnic groups: Han, Hui, Yi, Manchu, Tibetan, Li, and Miao. Known as "China's Noah's Ark," its main street, Liangting Street, is named after its boat-like shape. Its spacious halls are a hallmark of its quaint, rustic atmosphere. Teahouses are bustling with people.
Luocheng Ancient Town is known as "a boat on a mountaintop." Climb the observation tower for a bird's-eye view of the ancient town. The spindle-shaped street forms the boat's bottom, the pavilions on either side serve as the sides, the ancient theater in the center is the cabin, the "Lingguan Temple" at the east end resembles the boat's stern, and the "cross-street building" on the left resembles the rudder. A boat comes to life before your eyes. Through the expanse of green tiles on the "boat's roof," you can even see the people moving about inside. Gazing for a while, you'll be transported to the ancient city of Luocheng.
