
Mount Emei, located in Emeishan City, Leshan City, Sichuan Province, China, is a World Cultural and Natural Heritage Site. It is one of China's Four Famous Buddhist Mountains and the shrine of Samantabhadra Bodhisattva, primarily dedicated to him. The scenic area covers 154 square kilometers, with its highest peak, Wanfoding, at 3,099.5 meters. Booking in advance is recommended during peak seasons (holidays and weekends), ideally 3–7 days before your visit, especially for cable car tickets.
1–2 full days are recommended to explore the main temples, trails, and reach the Golden Summit comfortably.

Start at Baoguo Temple, take the cable car to the mid-mountain temples, explore Wannian Temple and Huazang Temple, and continue to Golden Summit. Descend via the opposite route or cable car to enjoy different views.
Night visits are generally not permitted. Special guided tours may be arranged for groups or religious ceremonies, but light shows are not typical.
The mountain is crowded during Chinese public holidays, weekends, and peak season (April–May, October). Weekdays and early mornings offer the least crowded experience.
