Bailong Lake (Zhuang: Nyi Bizlangx) is located in Bailuo Mountain, Nanbailuo Village, Yuezhe Town, 26 kilometers west of Qiubei County, Wenshan Prefecture, Yunnan Province. Bailong Lake is a plateau freshwater lake with a blue-green water color and a transparency of 4-5 meters, typically reaching 7-8 meters when the water is calm. With a capacity of 53.7 million cubic meters, an average depth of 27 meters, and a water area of 3.16 square kilometers, it is one of Yunnan's ten largest lakes.
Bailong Lake is one of the sources of the Qingshui River, which eventually flows into the Pearl River. Its waters are crystal clear year-round; even during flood season, turbidity is rarely seen. Surrounded by mountains, Bailong Lake forms a fan-shaped landscape, encompassing seven small islands and three peninsulas. Dubbed the "Thousand Island Lake of Yunnan," the lake boasts lush forests, home to migratory birds, and a vibrant atmosphere of birdsong and flowers year-round. Two large islands in the water resemble the tails of two dragons, earning the name "Bailong Lake." It is a popular destination for leisure, tourism, and vacations.
