Located on the shores of beautiful Daming Lake in Jinan, the Spring City, Daming Lake Underwater World is a modern marine life exhibition center integrating marine tourism, underwater sightseeing, and science education. Home to over 500 species of aquatic and marine animals, it is Jinan's first large-scale marine life exhibition center and the city's first marine science education base for young people.

Daming Lake Underwater World, located within the Daming Lake Scenic Area in Jinan, represents an investment of nearly 100 million yuan. Construction began on October 26, 2012, and was completed on June 26, 2013, a total of eight months. The renovation and upgrade of the existing area primarily includes new exhibits and performances, such as a seawater sightseeing tunnel, shark-human dances, jellyfish displays, and marine animal performances. However, the venue's floor area will not be significantly expanded. Daming Lake Underwater World is expected to open to the public on May Day, 2013.
