The Li Kuchan Memorial Hall is located in Wanzhu Garden in Baotu Spring Park, Jinan City, Shandong Province. The front, east and west courtyards are arranged in the shape of a finished product, with the garden located in the west. The memorial hall covers an area of 12,000 square meters and has a total of 18 exhibition rooms. It displays his posthumous works and more than 400 pieces of calligraphy and painting cultural relics collected during his lifetime all year round.
The memorial hall permanently exhibits over 400 of his posthumous works and his collection of calligraphy and paintings, including masterpieces such as "Red Plum Blossoms in Full Bloom," "Clear Snow," "Ink Bamboo," and "Midsummer." Among them, "Pine Eagle" and "Red Plum Blossoms in Full Bloom" are masterpieces from his later years, while the couplet "The Supreme Saint's boundless grace benefits the world, his great virtue sets an example for mankind" is his last work.
The memorial hall is a traditional courtyard that combines the styles of Jiangnan courtyards, Beijing imperial palaces, and Jinan quadrangle courtyards. Its architectural style is reminiscent of the Han and Tang dynasties, with a hipped roof and exterior walls clad in blue brick. Stone, wood, and brick carvings are meticulously detailed and lifelike, representing one of the "three unique features" of Wanzhu Garden.
Jinan has a temperate monsoon climate with obvious monsoons and distinct four seasons: dry and rainy spring, warm and rainy summer, cool and dry autumn, and cold and snowy winter.
