Beiyue Temple, also known as Yulong Shrine, is located in Yulong Village, Baisha Township, 13 kilometers north of Lijiang City. It is a key cultural relic protection site at the Yunnan Provincial Level. According to historical records, Beiyue Temple was built in the 14th year of the Dali Period in the Tang Dynasty (779 AD), making it the oldest temple in Lijiang.

Located at the southern foot of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, in Yulong Village between Baisha Town and Yufeng Temple, over 10 kilometers from Lijiang County, Yue Temple is the mountain deity of Jade Dragon Mountain. Every year on the eighth day of the second lunar month, traditionally the birthday of the "Three Flowers God," people dress in their finery and head to Beiyue Temple for a ceremony known as the temple fair. The "Three Flowers God" is said to be born in the Year of the Sheep, so the temple fair is particularly lively during the Year of the Sheep.

The temple consists of three courtyards, encompassing the mountain gate, flower hall, side rooms, tripod pavilion, main hall, and rear hall, covering an area of ​​2,329 square meters. Above the gate are inscribed the four characters "Enpu Sanduo," or "Engraving Three Plenty." A statue of the deity Sanduo is enshrined in the center of the main hall. Locals therefore call Beiyue Temple the "Sanduo Pavilion," meaning "the home of Sanduo."
