Ganhaizi, located at the foot of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain in Lijiang City, is a natural meadow pasture with gently undulating terrain and scattered low pine trees. Beneath the rolling grassland, shaded by trees and grass, you'll occasionally see yaks passing by, creating a scene of highland pastureland. With the snow-capped mountains in the distance, this is an ideal spot for viewing and photographing.
Every spring, as flowers bloom and grass sprouts, the Tibetan, Yi, and Naxi herders living in the mountain streams near Ganhaizi pack their felt tents, ride their majestic horses, and herd their yaks, sheep, and cattle to graze on the meadows. From the Ganhaizi meadows to the 4,500-meter snow line, you can see a wide variety of flowers and trees, including orchids, wild peonies, and snow lotuses. Tall trees include Yunnan pine, cedar, fir, thorny chestnut, and chestnut.
