Built during the Ming Dynasty, Dashiqiao boasts a history of five to six hundred years. A stone arch bridge in Lijiang Old Town, it served as a vital artery connecting the city's east and west. An extension of the Sifang Street Market, Dashiqiao was once a specialty shop for linen, hence the name "Linen Bridge." In the past, the "Dashiqiao" was also known as the "Snow Reflecting Bridge" because the stream below it reflected the Jade Dragon Snow Peak. However, due to changes in the surrounding architecture, this beautiful scene no longer exists, a truly regrettable sight.

However, the Dashi Bridge still offers some scenic beauty today. Due to its age, the bridge is now covered in lush greenery. The small stone embankments on either side of the river below the bridge are also covered with a variety of flowers.
