Introducing Moon Lake
The Moon Lake scenic area covers a total area of 10 square kilometers. The lake resembles a moon embedded in the grassland, hence the name Moon Lake. In Mongolian, it is called Sharanor Lake. In the hearts of Mongolian people, the sun and the moon are revered as "gods." Moon Lake is a plateau lake at an altitude of over 1,000 meters, integrating forest, grassland and lake into one.
Moon Lake has four unique features: first, there is a lake in the desert; second, its shape resembles the map of China; third, the lake water is a natural medicinal bath formula; fourth, the black sand and mud that is billions of years old is comparable to the Dead Sea; when you come here, you can enjoy the thrill of surfing in the sand sea, the excitement of sand sliding, the journey of hiking through the desert, the unique charm of desert swimming, and you can also experience the ancient people's emotion of "the setting sun in the desert".
Moon Lake was also rated as one of the "Top Ten Charming Leisure and Tourism Lakes in China" along with other world-famous lakes such as West Lake and Xinjiang Tianchi, and was awarded the beautiful title of "China's Most Romantic Lake".
