The Jinan Commercial Port Cultural Museum, with a total floor area of nearly 500 square meters, is divided into six exhibition halls: The Opening of the Commercial Port, Industrial and Commercial Economy, Diverse Culture, Social Aspects, The Rebirth of the Ancient City, and The Second Opening of the Port. Focusing on historical development and social change, the exhibition halls showcase Jinan's past prosperity and current rise through photographs, text, and exhibits, supplemented by touch-screen displays and feature films.
The museum displays over 200 artifacts, many of which are rare and valuable artifacts from the early days of the commercial port. These include memorials and replies from Yuan Shikai and Zhou Fu regarding the opening of commercial ports in Jinan and other three areas, a 1925 hand-drawn map of the commercial port area, and a collection of paper artifacts from the Chengtong Cotton Mill.
Jinan has a temperate monsoon climate with obvious monsoons and distinct four seasons: dry and rainy spring, warm and rainy summer, cool and dry autumn, and cold and snowy winter.
