Luohan Cliff, located north of the Taishan Revolutionary Martyrs Monument, is inscribed with the three characters "Luohan Cliff" on a large rock in the stream east of the road. The cliff is named after the resemblance of an arhat to a human figure. This is the Big Luohan Cliff; there's also the Small Luohan Cliff in Taohuajian, Taishan. The stream flows year-round, and on its east bank, a small bamboo garden, flower beds, and lush trees like crape myrtles and redbuds flourish. On the west side of the road, two large characters "䖝二" are carved. This is a riddle composed of the core of the Chinese character "风月" (wind and moon), implying the infinite beauty of the scenery here, which means "wind and moon have no boundaries." This stone carving was made in the 25th year of the reign of Emperor Guangxu of the Qing Dynasty (1899) by Liu Tinggui, a famous scholar in Jinan.
It has a temperate continental semi-humid monsoon climate with distinct four seasons, moderate cold and hot seasons, synchronized light and temperature, and simultaneous rain and heat. Spring is dry and windy, summer is hot and rainy, autumn is sunny and refreshing, and winter is cold and snowy.
