The Dengzhou Ancient Ship Museum, located east of Penglai Pavilion in the Penglai Tourist Area of ​​Shandong Province, was built in 1990 and features three exhibition halls. As of 1995, the museum displayed over 100 artifacts, including three first-class and two second-class items. It is the second museum in China dedicated solely to the exhibition of ancient ships.

Three restored ancient ships on the rooftop, constructed using traditional Chinese shipbuilding techniques, create a spectacular scene of warships anchored in the harbor, their masts ablaze. The core exhibit is the underwater shipwrecks, featuring four Yuan and Ming dynasty ships unearthed during two dredging operations at Shuicheng Xiaohai in 1984 and 2005.
