Nanhu is praised as the first lake in Shaanxi and is the concentrated embodiment of Hanzhong's beautiful mountains and beautiful waters. When you first hear the name Nanhu, you think it means a lake. In fact, Nanhu is not a lake, but just uses the name of a lake.
The subtropical humid monsoon climate offers four distinct seasons, with mild winters, mild summers, warm springs, and refreshing autumns. It is a great place to travel in all seasons.
The Nanhu Scenic Area, comprised of seven gullies, eight ridges, and sixty-eight mountain ridges, boasts a breathtaking landscape, shaded by verdant trees, surrounded by green mountains and clear waters. Pavilions and structures such as the Moon-Grasping Tower, the Hundred Flowers Garden, and the Qionghua Pavilion are scattered throughout the area, creating a scene of flowers and greenery everywhere. The Sichuan-Shaanxi Revolutionary Nanzheng Memorial Hall, located on an island in the center of the lake, showcases the battles fought by the Red Fourth Front Army there. The Lu You Memorial Hall sheds light on the life and story of this patriotic poet of the Southern Song Dynasty. The area also boasts a zoo, a youth palace, a swimming pool, an amusement park, and other recreational facilities, making it a popular destination for locals, tourists, and families. In spring and summer, boat tours are available to admire the picturesque scenery of Nanhu's verdant mountains and tranquil waters.
