Qinglong Gorge Scenic Area is 29 kilometers from Anning City and 20 kilometers from the hot springs. It enjoys excellent transportation, with the Anfu Highway (from Anning to Fumin) crossing the border and a station on the Chengdu-Kunming Railway (Qinglong Station). The scenic area covers approximately 19 square kilometers. Densely forested and with pristine vegetation, the area features entwined ancient vines, melodious streams, splashing waterfalls, twirling waterwheels, and the sun shimmering against the smoke of cooking fires. The area is dotted with scenic spots and attractions.

The entire scenic area can be roughly divided into several major areas for visiting. The rafting area, featuring Qinglong Gorge rafting, known as "Central Yunnan's No. 1 Rafting," is the most engaging and enjoyable tourist activity. Along the river, there are 17 scenic spots, including Pasturing the Cows and Returning to Farmland, Hexiang Ferry, and Qunfangwu. The Ancient Exploration Area features 20 attractions, including the Ancient Vine Swing, the Stream and Mountain Thatched Pavilion, and the Ancestral Site. The Valley Scenic Area includes 12 attractions, including Shuiju Mountain House, Fragrant Stream Quiet Flow, and Exploring the Valley Source. The Yi Village Scenic Area offers six attractions and recreational activities, including Yi village scenery, bow and arrow hunting, and horseback riding.
