Yingxi Peak Forest is located in Jiulong, Mingjing and Yanbei towns, 60 kilometers southwest of Yingde City. It is a valley surrounded by mountains with karst landforms and natural landscapes similar to Guilin. Therefore, it is known as "Little Guilin in Yingxi" and also called "Yingxi Peak Forest".
There are thousands of limestone peaks densely distributed here, with streams, caves and ancient buildings dotted in between. It is the longest and most densely populated peak forest scenic area in Guangdong Province, and is known as the "No. 1 Peak Forest in Southern China".
Yingde City has a subtropical monsoon climate, with alternating warm and cold weather in spring, with frequent rain; hot summer, with frequent rain and occasional drought; cool and dry autumn, with frequent drought; and less cold weather with occasional cold weather, with frequent clouds and fine rain in winter.
Wonderland of Cave Heaven
Dongtian Wonderland, a national AAAA-rated scenic spot, is a cavernous area where a stream cuts through the mountains. Boat tours take about 200 meters, revealing a vast cavern hall filled with diverse stalactites. Two perforations in the ceiling let light filter down into the cavern. Within the cavern lies a patch of land, densely packed with shade-loving plants, their branches and leaves lush, pristine condition. This small forest within the cave is truly a rare spectacle. The combination of light, water, land, and forest feels like stepping into another world, perhaps embodying the concept of "another world."
Kowloon Town
Jiulong Town covers an area of about 8,000 acres and is located in the core section of the Yingxi Peak Forest in Jiulong Town. It has more than a thousand limestone peaks arranged in a linear pattern. The mountains are majestic and the scenery is unique. Streams and rivers of all sizes run through them. There are various peaks, mysterious caves, rugged and strange rocks, endlessly changing sea of clouds, foggy scenes, and pastoral scenery with a strong local flavor.
