Xiangyun Street is a distinctive street in Kunming, located right next to the Golden Horse and Jade Rooster Memorial Archway in the heart of the city. Its food court offers a variety of Yunnan specialties, most notably the Dai-style pilaf and a variety of insects, a truly eye-opening experience. Xiangyun Street was established in 1926 and named after the auspicious phrase. The northern section was completed around 1940 and named New Xiangyun Street. The entire street was renamed Xiangyun Street in 1979.

Xiangyun Street stretches from Nanping Street in the north to Jinbi Road in the south, covering a total length of more than 400 meters. The entire street mainly provides catering and snacks.
