Trinity International Chapel, formerly known as Trinity Holy Church, was built in 1903. Located at 218 Wucheng Road in Kunming, it later became the center of Christian activity in Yunnan Province. The street-facing chapel served as a chapel, while the backyard housed pastoral staff. The chapel consists of three floors, with the first floor serving as an aisle, the second floor housing two offices and a meeting room accommodating 30 to 40 people, and the third floor as an office. The main hall can accommodate 400 to 500 worshippers.
In 1963, the Yunnan Provincial Christian Three-Self Patriotic Movement Committee was established, with its offices located in Trinity Church. In December 1984, Trinity Church resumed worship services. In 1986, it became the headquarters of the Yunnan Provincial Christian Councils. In February 1997, Trinity Church was demolished due to road widening for urban development in Kunming.
In December 2004, the Heart Church was renovated and completed, with a grand opening service held on December 12th. The church complex, built in a Gothic style, covers 4,018 square meters. The new church, located on floors 1-3, has a floor area of 2,000 square meters. Floors 4-7 serve as the ministry center for the Yunnan Provincial Christian Councils. The total investment in the church complex was 15 million yuan. From 1984 to the end of 2006, Trinity International Chapel baptized over 10,000 believers.
