The scenic area near Daxigou Township in Huocheng County, Ili Kazakh Autonomous Prefecture, Xinjiang is known as “Zhonghua Fushou Mountain”. It was visited by the Taoist master Qiu Chuji in 1221 AD, and later became a major Taoist site in the Qing Dynasty. It is also designated the “Hometown of Wild Cherry Plums in China”, containing more than 60 species of wild fruit-trees (wild apples, apricots, cherry-plums etc).
The site is located about 8 km north of Daxigou Township in Huocheng County, Ili Prefecture, Xinjiang. To get there:
