
Hengshan Scenic Area is a national key scenic spot, a National Civilized Scenic Tourist Area Demonstration Site, and a National AAAAA-level tourist area. The main components of the mountain include peak-forest granite, knife-shaped granite, hidden ridges, and metamorphic rocks with narrow ridges and steep slopes. The area is rich in biological resources and diverse in species, and wildlife is increasing year by year. Zhurong, Zigai, Tianzhu, Shilin, and Furong are known as the "Five Peaks of Hengshan." Li Bai's poem "The wind blows away the snow on the five peaks, and often flying petals fall to Dongting Lake" and Du Fu's poem "Zhurong and the Five Peaks are majestic, and each peak is lower and higher." These five peaks are the epitome of Hengshan.

Hengshan Scenic Area is one of China’s Five Great Mountains with deep Taoist and Buddhist significance. It has been a site of pilgrimage for centuries and hosts numerous historic temples and cultural relics.
Located in Nanyue District, Hengyang, Hunan Province. Accessible by bus or taxi from Hengyang city. Walking is required to explore the mountain trails and temples.
Open daily, generally from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Best visited in spring or autumn for pleasant weather and clear views.
Entrance fee is approximately 100–120 CNY for the main scenic area; tickets can be purchased online or at the gate.
