Changchun Nanhu Park is located in the southern part of Changchun City. It is currently the second largest urban park in the country, second only to the Summer Palace in Beijing.
The park is lined with drooping willows, fragrant flowers and chirping birds. More than half of its area is occupied by South Lake. In spring and summer, you can feel the rich Jiangnan atmosphere by walking on the curved bridges and pavilions by the lake.
Nanhu Park is a great place to cool off and go boating.
In the summer, it is very pleasant to come here and find a shady place to set up a tent, have a picnic with friends and family, or chat and play cards.
In summer, the lake is covered with large lotus flowers, which is a great place to take photos and enjoy the flowers. There is also an artificial beach by the lake for leisure and swimming.
However, you should pay attention to sun protection and mosquito bite prevention when visiting the park in summer, as boating under the strong sun will cause severe sunburn.
During midsummer and early autumn, the area hosts a variety of activities, including lantern festivals and folk customs exhibitions, which are very lively. However, separate entrance fees are required for lantern festivals and exhibitions.
