Explore the natural beauty surrounding Toad Dam, take a walk along the dam, enjoy birdwatching, and experience the serenity of the area. It’s also a popular spot for local fishermen and nature enthusiasts.

Hamaba, located in Wulanbutong, Keqi Banner, on the border between Hebei and Inner Mongolia, is a gently sloping area bordered on three sides by gullies, or lowlands. Over 20 kilometers from Hongshan Military Horse Farm, follow the oil road to Keqi Banner, past the Huamugou Forest Farm, and then northwest onto a rural dirt road. After about three or four kilometers, gently climbing from low to high, you'll reach Hamaba, a spot dotted with elm, birch, and other trees.
For photographers, this is a treasure trove of photography, a place where you never tire of capturing new moments. Dozens of thatched huts and newly built red brick and tiled houses dot the hillsides and gullies, nestled in the terrain. The sounds of roosters crowing, dogs barking, and smoke curling from cooking fires create a sense of rustic, pristine rural charm.
There are patches of white birch trees on the top of the mountain, irregular terraces on the mountainside, and graceful old elm trees in groups of three or two at the foot of the mountain. In the gaps between the trees are circular or rectangular sheep pens and cattle pens surrounded by wooden fences.
The hilly and mountainous terrain here is unique, and the autumn scenery is brilliant and colorful. The mountains are covered with red leaves, and the bright yellow birch leaves blend in with the red leaves, forming a series of natural paintings. In winter, the snow-covered ground is covered with silver. Point your camera and click the shutter, and you will be a painting.
